Star Trek First Contact Remastered Titles

Remastered opening titles I edited together for Star Trek First Contact, with the opening sequence from CONTACT, with the amazing music by Jerry Goldsmith. I used the opening of CONTACT with the Star Trek IV The Voyage Home Remastered Titles (reversed journey thru the stars). I thought that they would work with the First Contact titles, as well (with some added special effects for fun). STAR TREK and related marks are trademarks of CBS Studios Inc. Very slick reworking of a classic opening, and additional kudos for keeping what is, for my money, the best and most audacious opening shot ever. Good work!

Absolut fantastic! The opening sequence of Contact i always liked. To put the eye of Captain Picard instead of Jodi Foster’s eye at the end is the highligt. Well done.
Great Job. I would have loved if they had the titles in space. Feels a lot like the openning of the Next Generation’s show.
Nicely done. Wish that Frakes had been a bit bolder with the opening like this.

Absolutely brilliant! Using the backward journey through space made the titles fade in going the same direction. Had I not seen the films I wouldn’t know this wasn’t the original title for First Contact. Very enjoyable!

God, I don’t know what the haters are thinking. The opening to First Contacts was nice, simplistic and well accentuated with the beautiful theme by Jerry Goldsmith. The opening for Contact was brilliant and was in line with one of the themes of the story which was being so small and insignificant in a massive universe.
Putting them together was a really nice move. And the results were better than I would have expected. It works perfectly! I favored it and rate it 5 stars every time!
The hints are especially cool since this was a time travel episode!

One thing I’ve always wanted to know: if one uses someone’s copyrighted material in a homemade video and gives them credit, does that mean there’s no violation? How do credits work? Many people seem to feature them, and their videos stay up.

1. WB would never allow this, and I’m surprised they haven’t spotted your copyright violation
2. Contact is a much better, deeper movie than this Trek outing
3. The Federation only exists in a quarter of ONE galaxy, not the whole universe.
I could have done without the space battle, it was rather distracting and it looked more like paper cut outs rather than an exchange.
Overall, it was a pretty slick opening.
